culottes

Here is something we do not see everyday. One that I certainly do not currently have in my closet and has kind of a funny sounding name, to me at least. I know in the past years I have owned a pair of culottes or two and I remembered always gravitating towards them. So when I saw these at Zara, I thought hmmm what a cute print and I secretly have been wanting to rock a pair since summer began (at this point, I refuse to talk about the impending cold weather, so please let us save that on another blog post. Lol!)  I like the fact that they pretend to look like a skirt from a far but up close, they are actually aren’t. I have worn this at work and it certainly has been a good conversation piece, eliciting both positive and negative comments (“hey that’s cute”/ “what the heck are you wearing”). Either way, I wanted it so I am wearing it. It is comfortable, different and they remind me of my younger years. Hahaha.
Thank you so much for reading and see you on my next post!

polka dot pants

I hate to put it on the title bar but I was really itching to refer to these as pajama pants. Im pretty sure I’m not the only person that refers to  these uber-comfy pants as that. I am in love with the comfort these loose pants give although I admittedly would  like to NOT  wear these with flats (if I can help it!) as they put me at risk of looking like Aladdin.  I have a feeling that some of you might have been tempted or at least have been the teeniest bit curious to try on this style of pants  but never took the plunge, I’d say give it a go as long as you carry a pair of heels with you in the fitting room, hahaha. I tell you, they make a world of a difference on how they can look. Don’t get too intimidated with the stretchy elastic waist either as these come in handy after an extremely satisfying lunch! Trust me, you will thank yourself for getting a pair of them! Also, this is a perfect time for me to wear my whites, just in time for Labor day!!

Happy Labor day weekend to everyone in the States, thank you so much for reading and see you on my next post!

white dress

It seems like summer isn’t complete if one hasn’t donned that staple white dress.  If you have quite a few in your closet, I’m pretty sure you try to wear every single one of them as much as you can while the sun is still beaming and labor day hasn’t come yet, haha.  I’ve been trying to wear mine but couldn’t, for the longest time, find an appropriate occasion to do so. Actually, I take that back, I think a LWD (little or LONG white dress, lol, whichever style you prefer!)  can actually be worn at any anytime during the summer months, depending on how you style it or how it coordinates with your mood. I guess my excuse would be is that I have been craving for more of my fun, colorful outfits but since this one deserves to be taken out on a spin, take pictures of it while I’m at it and share it on the blog and hope that y’all enjoy this post!

Thank you so much for reading and see you on my next post!

maxi dress

Who seriously doesn’t love the already-a-classic maxi dress for the summer? I know some of you are probably screaming in protest that noooo, these don’t ever look good on you but trust me when I say that there is a maxi dress out there for all of us… the optimist  in me believes this, hahaha! This hot weather staple has been around for a few summers now and I know that a lot of us felt that this was one hard style to pull off if you didn’t have the height for it but as our summers progressed, I have found (and seen) that the trick is finding THE perfect one for your body type.  I can confidently say that I have seen a maxi dress on almost all shapes and sizes and I am happy to share  that majority of the time, I have not been disappointed.  So believe me when I say that you look good in it!!

Thank you so much for reading and see you on my next post!

seeing red

I have to admit that a lot of the outfits I have worn so far aren’t very current. While I’d love to keep shopping for new clothes especially since the fashion-obsessed in me can’t help but lust over so many pretty things, my practical side keeps whispering in my ear that I shouldn’t. I have things hanging in my closet that I am still in love with and I have decided that they need to make an appearance on my blog before any madness ensues (you know what I’m talking about, hahaha)!
That being said, I remember perusing Atlantic Pacific’s blog and saw her in a stunning red midi skirt awhile back. All of sudden, I was reminded that I do, infact, have one too and have not worn it in over a year! While it isn’t as amazing as her’s, I thought  "hey, you old little red skirt, this might be your turn to inspire those ladies whose skirts have been tucked away for years and have not seen the light of day!"  So starting today, I declare, shop your closets, ladies!! J
