polka dot pants

I hate to put it on the title bar but I was really itching to refer to these as pajama pants. Im pretty sure I’m not the only person that refers to  these uber-comfy pants as that. I am in love with the comfort these loose pants give although I admittedly would  like to NOT  wear these with flats (if I can help it!) as they put me at risk of looking like Aladdin.  I have a feeling that some of you might have been tempted or at least have been the teeniest bit curious to try on this style of pants  but never took the plunge, I’d say give it a go as long as you carry a pair of heels with you in the fitting room, hahaha. I tell you, they make a world of a difference on how they can look. Don’t get too intimidated with the stretchy elastic waist either as these come in handy after an extremely satisfying lunch! Trust me, you will thank yourself for getting a pair of them! Also, this is a perfect time for me to wear my whites, just in time for Labor day!!

Happy Labor day weekend to everyone in the States, thank you so much for reading and see you on my next post!

jumpsuit + style to inspire link-up co-host!

A little late to the summer jumpsuit craze but I honestly, believe it or not, got this jumpsuit in late Winter, while it was on sale for being last season’s. I got it online, NOT in my size (not even close) but I figured what the heck, I have never owned a jumpsuit in my life and I had a bad feeling about it as with every jumpsuit that I have tried on. These things, I realized, could look disastrous on a nearly 5’11 long torso-ed and long legged person/woman/giantess if it weren’t tailored for that specific body type. But this being black, an itty-bitty part of my brain was thinking maybe I can make this work. Just like my dress before this post, I surprisingly liked it. Not crazy in love with it but enough to convince myself to venture out and possibly try on different styles. If you are a skeptic on these, give it a try as I did on this one. I mindlessly threw this jacket on just to see how it looks and voila, works like a charm! Or at least in my not-so-expert opinion. Hahaha!
Thank you so much for reading and see you on my next post!

take me back to hawaii

I got this dress a few weeks after a trip to Hawaii in late March for my sister in law’s wedding.  We had such a great time but it was such a short vacation that I felt like I would’ve loved to stay longer, as with any  tropical getaway… nobody ever wants to leave! Back in the real world (which is Seattle lol), I happen to see this dress as I was leaving HM and for some crazy reason, it screamed “take me back to the Islands with you!”  Such a trendy mirror print dress but with how cheap it was, I couldn’t leave it behind.  Didn’t bother trying it on, i just took my “hawaiian” dress home with me, tried it on and then love ensued. Lol, okay that might have been a little dramatic  but I did surprisingly end up loving this impulse purchase on me! Don't we ladies just get excited when that happens?!!
Thank you so much for reading and see you on my next post!

lace shorts

Shorts are a rarity in my closet as I much prefer dresses over them during the summer but I decided to go for these because I couldn’t stop looking at them and kept taking them back with me to the fitting room! So I finally decided to pull the trigger with the idea that I would walk around the house in them for a few hours and see how I feel. Well, it turned out that I have almost completely forgotten about them as they have been sitting in my closet for over a month now. Time to bust these babies out, I guess.  I’m not entirely smitten with these but too late to return hahaha, the good thing about them is that they are black which are easy to style. I decided to go the black and white route as it makes them less casual than what shorts normally are and I’m quite happy with the turnout.  In case you are wondering, I threw in that random photo in the very end of me wearing flats, I initially wore flats with them but decided I wanted to dress it up a bit with a nicer looking heel.  Either way, this outfit is idiot proof--- no thinking required!

chambray

I hate to admit that summer is nearing it’s end because I am absolutely dreading the rain, I think I might even be having panic attacks just thinking about it.. kidding! I do wish though that we had more summer than rainy days. Enough blabbering, I have a point, I promise! What I meant  to say was summer is never complete without  showcasing some sort of chambray item. I think I must have seen chambray/denim in all shapes and sizes from the countless blogs I have visited/magazines I've read and I must say, I love every single one of them. Chambray can do no wrong in my book! I just think it looks good on anyone.  So, before the sun stops shining momentarily on my beloved city, here is a favorite chambray dress of mine.  I love that this isn’t as heavy as denim and feels quite cool and comfortable to wear. I hope everyone is having an awesome summer!

color, color, and more color!

Here I go again with my bold colors and florals, I just can’t stay away from it for too long!  I cannot even begin to describe my love affair with this skirt, I love it so much I feel like I’m cheating on my husband with a skirt, lol! I love how flowy, billowy, bright and cheerful it is, not to mention comfortable. Let’s just say I can get away with things that I wouldn’t be able to if I were sporting a much shorter skirt.  And this top… what more can I say? I think these two were a match made in heaven. Floral top would never cheat on blue maxi skirt with me, sadly. Hahahaha, okay I better stop. My post writing endeavor is going nowhere, seriously…but I hope y’all are having a great week!!
