ikat

To be honest, I would never be caught dead  wearing a dress or a skirt WITHOUT any tights in the middle of October in Seattle… but these pictures were shot earlier.  There. That is my excuse. Kidding  aside, this dress is one of my favorite Fall-appropriate dresses that I own. Not that it is a heavy, heat insulating fabric nor is it warm enough to be worn on it’s own when the temperature drops but this Ikat print just makes me think of Fall, don’t ask me why. I usually wear this with black tights and heels or booties, kind of that staple cold-weather outfit for us that try to dress up in unfavorable conditions.  I sometimes find myself too lazy to accessorize at this time of the year because all the pretty accessories just tend to get buried underneath a pile of massive scarves and bulky coats but I just had to throw in this chunky necklace to make this outfit less boring.

As always, thank you so much for reading and see you on my next post!

birthday suit

No, it isn’t THAT type of birthday suit you are thinking of, lol! I initially set to publish this post last Tuesday, on my birthday but I ended up not being able to, for reasons that are irrelevant now. Since I had already begun working on it, I decided to just go with the title I had chosen for it and also for sentimental birthday reasons.  As much as I want to deny it, autumn/fall is upon us! I have started wearing lighter coats and jackets and have slowly brought out my cold-weather appropriate dresses, this blue/purple dress being one of them. I love a classic shift dress that never goes out of style as they are the easiest to wear! Shift dresses are almost like blank palettes that you can play around with – dress it up or down, accessorize it (or not), wear it for summer, fall or all year round, whatever it is that you wish to do with it, the dress won’t complain and also won’t betray you after a big, hearty lunch! Haha.  I really think a flattering shift dress is a must in every woman’s closet. Trust me when I say that this can easily become your best  friend on days that you feel like you have absolutely nothing to wear!

As always, thank you so much for reading and see you on my next post!

white dress

It seems like summer isn’t complete if one hasn’t donned that staple white dress.  If you have quite a few in your closet, I’m pretty sure you try to wear every single one of them as much as you can while the sun is still beaming and labor day hasn’t come yet, haha.  I’ve been trying to wear mine but couldn’t, for the longest time, find an appropriate occasion to do so. Actually, I take that back, I think a LWD (little or LONG white dress, lol, whichever style you prefer!)  can actually be worn at any anytime during the summer months, depending on how you style it or how it coordinates with your mood. I guess my excuse would be is that I have been craving for more of my fun, colorful outfits but since this one deserves to be taken out on a spin, take pictures of it while I’m at it and share it on the blog and hope that y’all enjoy this post!

Thank you so much for reading and see you on my next post!

office appropriate

I had worn this outfit to work, unsure of whether my cousin and I were going to be able to shoot at the end of the day. We decided at the last minute that we would, and since I always have a pair (or two J ) of heels stashed in the trunk of my car, I told myself “why not?” and decided to just go ahead and shoot what I had worn to work that day. For years, I have always separated clothes/outfits  that I decided were appropriate for work from the ones I would wear on a casual/fun /dressier occasions.  Since the more “fun” clothes were strategically placed in the deep recesses (okay, maybe not even deep at all lol) of my closet, I never get to see them when I am running around like a headless chicken EVERY single morning. One day, I decided that maybe I should stop with labeling which articles are for what occasion and just get the heck dressed, look appropriate for work and be on time!!!  So if you are the same way as I am and stuck in an office wardrobe rut, take a less boring piece from your more “fun” clothes and find yourself  MAYBE smiling more for the rest of the day  … or not, lol!

Thank you so much for reading, please check out my Instagram @my_sinina  (I know, I know  I’m bad at social media channels but at least I have this)! J and see you on my next post!
