lace shorts

Shorts are a rarity in my closet as I much prefer dresses over them during the summer but I decided to go for these because I couldn’t stop looking at them and kept taking them back with me to the fitting room! So I finally decided to pull the trigger with the idea that I would walk around the house in them for a few hours and see how I feel. Well, it turned out that I have almost completely forgotten about them as they have been sitting in my closet for over a month now. Time to bust these babies out, I guess.  I’m not entirely smitten with these but too late to return hahaha, the good thing about them is that they are black which are easy to style. I decided to go the black and white route as it makes them less casual than what shorts normally are and I’m quite happy with the turnout.  In case you are wondering, I threw in that random photo in the very end of me wearing flats, I initially wore flats with them but decided I wanted to dress it up a bit with a nicer looking heel.  Either way, this outfit is idiot proof--- no thinking required!

colorblocking

I’ve always been drawn to colorblock pieces but if you take a peek at my closet, all you’ll find are floral/graphic  and plain dresses.  If I am remembering correctly, this dress was an outcome of what was supposed to have been a window-shopping  trip that was incited by my extreme nervousness from my sports team losing in the finals, hence my altogether complete avoidance of being near a TV. Lol. I figured, “just” trying on dresses might be a good distraction. Well, I ended up picking this up over a much desired floral dress because I wanted to try something new and the two teenage girl cousins I was with at that time said so. No regrets ever since! This dress garnered so many compliments that I never want to let go of it! Even when I am old and gray…. And probably will not fit into it. Hahaha! I hope y’all are having a good week!

Thank you so much for reading and see you on my next post!
