First off, I just want to say sorry for being MIA lately. As
with every single one of us, life happens and we get caught up in how hectic, stressful,
crazy, overwhelming things are at times
(is it okay to say this on a fashion blog? Lol) . Needless to say, we try to get back to the
normalcy of things so here I am as I try to get back on track with the things
that I love doing. Second, excuse the
title of this post, lol. I have not a drop of creative juice left in my brain right
now and really, doesn’t this dress/top look like it has paint splatter all over
it?? On to a more blog-related discussion, this top was actually sold as a
dress but I guess for a tall person such
as moi, it isn’t. Have you ever bought something where you fell so in love with
how it looks but unsure of how to really wear it BUT ended up getting it
anyway? Well, this is one of those buys. I knew I couldn’t wear this as a dress,
obviously because I do not want to be arrested for indecent exposure, duh.
Hahaha. So my go-to solution for fashion
dilemmas such as this, wear it as a top! I think it works… it does because I have no other choice. Lol.
Sorry for this very unhelpful fashion post, I hope y’all got a good laugh from
it, though!
As always, thank you so much for reading and see you on my next post!

No need to apologize, we all know how difficult a balance it is. I really like your top! I have the opposite problem since I'm short that everything is too long on me. I really like it with the jeans. This outfit looks great on you! I hope things start to slow down!

I love how you've styled this dress. The pattern and colours are such fun plus it goes so well with the jeans. You could even wear contrasting coloured tights with this! You look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteHope things are well with you. I know about things sometimes getting in the way. I love this on you and how you styled it with the dark leggings. You look amazing. The heels add even more length to your lithe physique.

Great look girlie! Definitely taking summer into fall with the ability to add the jeans under the dress. You have inspired me to do something similar with a few pieces I own.

This is a wonderful look; I love how you've styled the tunic (top/dress) with the tight fitting Hudson jeans and Marc Jacobs bag. The setting for these photos is fabulous too! I have 'added you to my circles' on Google+ by the way, although I'm still learning how to use that platform!! :)

such a pretty pattern on this dress/top! i laughed when i read the indecent exposure line. i have a few pieces that could possibly be a really short dress or a long top -- 9 times out of 10 i'll wear them as a top.

ReplyDeleteYou are too funny! I have the opposite problem - anything that looks like a tunic on a model will be a knee length dress on me. :) So I haven't quite had to deal with turning a dress into a shirt! LOL. However, that is a beautiful top/dress depending on your height and I love the way you styled it!
